About Me

Education

Educational History:

I graduated from Mulvane High School then went on to attend Enporia State University.  I graduated fro E.S.U. in 1995 with a B.S. in elementary education.

Professional Development:

Current Position:

 I have been employed with the district full time since 2008.  I currently teach first grade.

Previous Position:

Prior to 2008 I substituted for USD 357.  I also substituted for the Derby, Mulvane, and Udall school systems.  I was able to have the opportunity to gain experience in working with many age levels during my time substituting.  

Family Information:

My husband John and I were married in 1996. We have two daughters ages 22 and 19.  Serene graduated from Belle Plaine and currently attends Wichita State University.  Scarlett is attending Cowley County Community College.  We have a dog named Butters.  We also have 5 cats (Ophelia, Raggles, Godiva, Drogon and Nymeria), a tarantula named Aragog, and chickens.

Personal Information:

Hobbies include reading, DIY projects, and baking.  I like to spend my extra time with my family and friends.  I enjoy watching quirky t.v. shows.
